Birth + Postpartum Support
Pregnancy, birth, and the early days of motherhood can be beautiful, overwhelming, joyful, exhausting, and everything in between.
At Held With Grace, we come alongside mothers with compassionate, practical, and personalized support through birth and postpartum. Our desire is simple: to help you feel informed, cared for, encouraged, and never alone.
Because motherhood was never meant to be carried alone.
Support Every Step of the Way
-
Birth looks different for every mother.
Whether you are planning an unmedicated birth, considering an epidural, preparing for a cesarean, hoping for a VBAC, or simply wanting someone in your corner, we are here to support you without judgement.
As your Doulas, we provide continuous emotion, physical, and informational support before, during, and immediately after birth.
We don’t come with an agenda for how your birth should happen.
We come ready to listen, encourage, educate, and support you through the birth that unfolds.
Birth doula support may include:
prenatal meetings to get to know you, your hopes, and your concerns
Birth planning and preparation
Evidence-informed information to help you make confident decisions
Comfort measures and positioning during labor
Breathing, relaxation, and physical support
Encouragement for you and your partner
Support through unexpected changes or decisions
Continuous labor support
Post-birth support and transition into those first moments with your baby
You don’t have to know exactly what you want before you reach out. We can figure it out together.
-
Everyone asks about the baby.
But how are you?
The postpartum season is a tremendous transition. You’re recovering from birth while learning your baby, navigating feeding and sleep, adjusting to a new rhythm, and figuring out who you are in this new season of motherhood.
You deserve support too.
Our postpartum care is centered around the mother- not just the baby.
Whether you need practical help, newborn support, a warm meal, a chance to shower, or simply someone who will sit beside you and listen, we’re here.
Postpartum support may include:
Newborn care and education
Feeding support and encouragement
Infant soothing and settling
Help establishing realistic routines
Light household support
Meal preparation
Postpartum recovery encouragement
Sibling support
Practical help so you can rest
Overnight support
A listening ear
Emotional support
Sometimes postpartum support looks like helping with the baby so Mom can sleep.
Sometimes it looks like folding laundry while Mom talks.
Sometimes it looks like making sure Mom actually eats lunch.
And sometimes it simply looks like sitting beside her and reminding her:
You’re doing better than you think.
